This is a functional non-firing replica of the military Thompson SMG. Perhaps the most recognizable firearm of World War II, the military Thompson SMG was made famous by troops of the 101st and 82nd Airborne Divisions in World War II. This military model differs from the original commercial model in its 20 round magazine and its horizontal fore grip. Though heavy by today's standards, the weight helped control the .45 caliber bursts when operated on full-automatic. The bolt cocks and fires from an open position. Looks Like the Real Thing
I purchased this Tommy gun because it reminds me so much of what Sgt. Saunders carried in the TV show Combat. I've always wanted one and thought this would be as close as I could get to the real thing. When I received it, one of the front sling swivel mount screws was missing. Also, as one other reviewers pointed out, the magazine spring is not good. You can push down on the magazine follower, just like the real thing. However, the spring is so poorly made, it was doubled over inside the magazine, so the follower was loose inside the magazine and rattled around. The manufacturer really needs to use a stiffer, better quality spring. Because of the two issues, I contacted the sales department and they had me return both the gun and magazine and shipped me a replacement. 5 stars for the great customer service! 4 stars for the weak magazine spring and missing screw. At this time, I am awaiting shipment on a pair of bullet hangers to mount the gun on my wall.

DENIX WWII M1928 THOMPSON REPLICA SUBMACHINE GUN
I just got this last week and was impressed with how solid and heavy it is. It looks OK right out of the box but looks much better now, after some weathering with steel wool, and a darker stain on the wood. It looks like a real combat veteran!

I previously owned a plastic replica of this gun that fell apart after to many years on the shelf. I purchased the gun from Replica Weaponry as a replacement. I could not be happier with quality. I now have it on display in my aircraft hangar, and everyone that sees it cannot believe it is not a functioning Thompson. Great product.

Really impressed
This is the first replica weapon I've purchased, so I wasn't quite sure what to expect. Upon getting it, it surpassed those expectations. It feels very high quality and has great detail. For a fan of the Thompson (WWII version), I can recommend this.

It's ok
I knocked off 2 stars because 1st there is a orange wax inside the barrel that I didn't like and it didn't say or show it had it! The other star was because the magazine spring is garbage. Really for the price of it it wasn't that bad! Shipping was great! i got it 3 days earlier, If they fixed those 2 problems, it would be a great perfect item to have!
