The 1860 Colt Army revolver is a 44-caliber revolver used during the American Civil War made by Colt's Manufacturing Company. It was used as a side arm by cavalry, infantry, artillery troops, and naval forces. This beautiful replica is available in either a steel gray or blued finish. It features real wood grips, and comes complete with real working action of the hammer, trigger, cylinder, and loading lever.

Historical icon of the Civil War
I hoped to find a blued version that didn't have brass, but this authentic looking antiqued grey fit the bill. The working action is great and cylinder cycles flawlessly. Only minor quibble is the wooden handle is not extremely solid on the fit to the steel. But the solid quality of the materials is top notch and this fulfills a childhood dream acquiring my favourite revolver of the 19th century. The M1873 Peacemaker is more solid when given the shake test, as the M1860 has some wobbling of pieces, but this is a large piece with a much longer barrel. Overall excellent value and price.

Excellent replica
A very good replica. Historically accurate reload mechanism. Hammer retracts and functions with trigger. Chamber rotates. Push rod for historical cap and ball reload functions as well. Well built nicely finished and a solid piece overall.
