The LeMat revolver was a .42 or .36 caliber cap & ball black powder revolver invented by Dr. Jean Alexandre LeMat of New Orleans, which featured a rather unusual secondary 16 gauge smoothbore barrel capable of firing buckshot, and saw service with the armed forces of the Confederate States of America during the American Civil War of 1861–65.
A favorite of Confederate troops, It featured awesome firepower with its nine .42 caliber bullets and one 20 gauge, single barrel firing a slug or buckshot.
Our Le Mat Reproduction revolver features working single action, loading lever, and simulated checkered wood grips. This historic revolver is a must for your gun collection.

Le Mat
One of their best offerings. Loading lever could be done a bit better, and cylinder does not time right, but all else is quite nice. I painted the nipples with copper so it looks like it has caps installed. I think this is one of their best.

Excellent
Very weighty, the half and full cock are substantial and loud. Tight construction with workable screws to tighten as needed. Reloading arm works smoothly. Added a key charm ring on the bottom for realism. Better than expected!

DENIX CIVIL WAR CONFEDERATE LE MAT REPLICA
This is an excellent reproduction suitable for cosplay or re-enactments. It certainly passes the "sniff test" even at a few feet away. This is a MASSIVE reproduction with a hefty weight. For sticklers I will point out that the barrel switch from bullets to shotgun is not on the hammer, nor is there a V-notch cut into the tip, therefore there is no rear sight. Not a complaint, just an observation. As original Le Mats are selling for over $10, 000 and functioning black powder Pietta examples are around $1,200, this is a nice alternative to scratch your Westworld itch. I would recommend this to any buyer. I regret not getting a Volcanic reproduction before Denix discontinued the model. Maybe they'll see this and put it back into production.

Lemat revolver
The best denix revolver! Very sturdy except for the loading lever but the real one was flimsy as well that's why most originals had the levers removed.

“Wow”
I opened the box and all I could say was “Wow”. I read the reviews and expected it to be pretty nice but it far exceeded my expectations. This pistol is super cool. The heft is so impressive . There is no functioning switch for to change back and forth from the shotgun barrel, but it does cock nicely and half cock. I bought this for a present for a relative who plays a western video game and loved this particular pistol .I haven’t given it i him yet , but shows it to his brother and he was blown away . Now he wants one and frankly so do I lol .

LeMat Revolver
I am very pleased with this replica. It arrived very quickly, and it is impressive. It has substantial heft to it, and the moving parts all worked fine. The only thing that keeps me from rating it 5 stars is the fact that for some reason Denix chose to not add the lever in the hammer and the firing pin for the shotgun barrel. But otherwise, a quality piece!

A Great Replica
For what it is it's as perfect as can be. I am blown away by the detail and weight and feel like I've got the real thing. It's absolutely amazing. Thanks again Replica Weaponry.

Denix LeMatt Revolver
This is an excellent copy of the LeMatt. Well made and sturdy. I am using it on my antique gun wall display as a filler and it fits right in with other guns of the 19th Century. I received the package very promptly. Communication was great.
