Description

The LeMat revolver was a .42 or .36 caliber cap & ball black powder revolver invented by Dr. Jean Alexandre LeMat of New Orleans, which featured a rather unusual secondary 16 gauge smoothbore barrel capable of firing buckshot, and saw service with the armed forces of the Confederate States of America during the American Civil War of 1861–65.
A favorite of Confederate troops, It featured awesome firepower with its nine .42 caliber bullets and one 20 gauge, single barrel firing a slug or buckshot.
Our Le Mat Reproduction revolver features working single action, loading lever, and simulated checkered wood grips. This historic revolver is a must for your gun collection.

      Le mat pistol

Wow, this piece has a realistic heft to it. I am using it for historical workshops on the Mexican/French Battle of Puebala and it always gets plenty of attention. Well worth the money. Thanks RW!

      It feels so real

I purchased this replica to aid me in writing a series of weird western short stories where the protagonist carries a Le Mat. It has been an essential aid and well worth the money.

      Almost Spot On

Without creating an extremely complicated and heavy half switch mechanism for the shotgun, it still is 99.9% accurate to a second model LeMat. There are many great books on the LeMat and it’s very interesting history. *It does half cock to “simulate” the switch on the historical LeMats.* It is absurdly (accurately) hefty and can be disassembled to a certain extent, although do this at your own risk if you are not familiar with single action trigger mechanisms (1911/SAA). There is no alternative replica, but there’s no need: it’s perfect. 10/10.

      Le Mat revolver

A bit too shiny to suit me, and the selector for the center barrel was not functional. All in all a very good replica and a decent wall hanger. Considering the price, an excellent buy.

      Very good replica!

Pretty good replica viewed from a distance. The zinc casting molds could be of better quality.

      Definitely 5 Stars!

I've been shopping for this model for several months on the internet. Replica Weapnry had the the best price, especially during its Bang15 sale. It was delivered very fast. The gun itself exceeds all my expectations. Great site to buy repos!

Perfect example for a Civil War exhibit.

Unable to find a repro Le Mat black powder revolver and definitely couldn't afford an original, even if available, I was desperate to add another CSA weapon to my displays at CW re-enactments. It was PERFECT! THANKS!
