The Python is a double action revolver calibrated for the powerful .357 Magnum. Also known as "Combat Magnum". It was presented for the first time in 1955, and it was aimed at the segment of luxury revolvers. It is a recognized revolver for its precision, smooth stroke and solid construction.

Some collectors of firearms and writers like Jeff Cooper, Ian V. Hogg, Chuck Hawks, Leroy Thompson, and Renée Smeets have described Python as one of the best revolvers ever made.

This classic replica police revolver is made of metal and features a 6" barrel, faux wood grip, swing out six shot cylinder and working double action.

You will find this reproduction featured in popular video games and a popular Zombie series.

      denim Colt Python 357

I received this replica in excellent condition and in a timely manner with all moving parts working. The hammer cocks properly in single action and double action mode, the cylinder rotates synchronously in the right fashion, and pops out for reloading in the authentic manner. Replica weaponry's prices are fair and I plan to purchase more of their Denix replicas. I recently attended a local gun show where they had several Colt Pythons on display and was impressed by how accurate myreplica matches the original revolver.

There's not a ton of affordable alternatives out there in the realm of replica Pythons (Umarex has the incorrect frame shape, Kokusai or other japanese replicas are rarer than the python itself and feel as expensive, and airsofts aren't made of metal) so you're going to be pretty much pushed towards getting this Dennix. Overall, the gun *looks* good, it's got a fairly nice nickel plating going for it and overall the gun looks true to a real python and feels like it do, however that's before you actually pull the trigger. While this gun LOOKs good, it doesn't function very well. The spring used for the hammer mechanism is very heavy making the gun a chore to cock and on top of that the cylinder isn't properly locked so as to prevent it from moving when the hammer is cocked. It also doesn't properly cycle when you pull the trigger, so the only way to fire the gun double action is to push the cylinder out of the way of the hammer mechanism (which doesn't look right) Another issue the gun has is the grips, they come fairly tight however there's still movement of them on the frame which leaves you having to jury rig some form of fix for the grips in order to keep them solid. Overall, this gun is priced well on this site especially considering the quality of it and the fact the gun retails for 100+ everywhere else. If you want something to hang on your wall or fill a holster with it's a good choice although there are probably cheaper options if you can sacrifice not getting metal. Decent replica, but it's Dennix quality and you get what you pay for. Still a worthy purchase however if you're a Rick Grimes fan.
