This non firing model is a replica of the standard government issue sidearm of the U.S. soldier since 1911 and made famous in historical pictures of WWII. The M1911A1 had tremendous stopping power that saved countless soldiers lives for 8 decades.

    I bought this thinking it would field strip also, it doesn't. No mag release or locking system. The only moving parts are the slide, trigger, and cocking hammer.

    If you are looking for a replica with a little action, this is that pistol. I didn’t want to spend an arm and a leg on a full action replica pistol, thankfully I found replicaweapononry.com. Inexpensive and just what I needed, with amazing quality! I highly recommend.
