The PM (Pistolet Makarova, literally Makarov's Pistol) is a semi-automatic pistol design. Under the project leadership of Nikolay Fyodorovich Makarov, it became the Soviet Union's standard military side arm from 1951-1991. The Makarov has a DA/SA (double-action, single-action) operating system. Even today, this is still one of the most recognized pistols in the world. Our non-firing replica has a removable magazine and working action. Pull the slide back and release and the tight working action snaps the slide back into place leaving the trigger and hammer in a cocked position. Pull the trigger and the hammer falls, just like the original.

Russian Makarov Pistol
This is a great replica of the Russian Makarov PM pistol. It comes with an orange plug as required by federal law. Unlike the real pistol, the replica does not fire double action, only single action by racking the slide or cocking the hammer. The realistic metal magazine can be released from the pistol. Though it cannot be loaded, it has a spring making it very realistic. The hammer has a pin extension that can accommodate a plastic cap shot that fires when you rack the slide or cock the hammer then pull the trigger. The wrap around grips are not wood as advertised but plastic or polymer. However, they are a good replica of the real grips. This is a very high end cap pistol and fun to have. I highly recommend this product.
