The M1 carbine (formally the United States Carbine, Caliber .30, M1) is a lightweight, easy to use semi-automatic carbine that became a standard firearm for the U.S. military during World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War, and was produced in several variants. It was widely used by U.S. and foreign military, paramilitary and police forces, and has also been a popular civilian firearm. In response to the need for a smaller, more maneuverable weapon for our Airborne troops the M1 carbine was fitted with a folding stock in 1942. This "paratrooper model" was designated the M1A1 and various versions were used through WWII into the Vietnam era. This replica recreates the look of this rifle in accurate detail, from the rich wood frame to the darkened metal hardware. It features, like the original, an actual fold-out stock that can be folded up along the frame when not in use, or folded out for when you need to shoulder the rifle and shoot like a pro. It features a working trigger, as well as a removable clip, which only adds to its impressive realism.
