This broom handle mauser replica is a unique gun. A realistic replica of the first successful automatic pistol, this gun was also known under a variety of other names, including C96, M96, Bolo, P-7.63, Broom handle, Mauser Military Pistol, Large Mauser pistol, Pistole 7.63 and the Model 1930. This pistol was a favorite of Winston Churchill. While commonly carried by field troops in WWII, the Mauser has since been made famous in countless WWII movies. This non-firing Mauser replica pistol features either a simulated or real wood stock with metal alloy construction. The hammer cocks back, rear sight lifts, front sight is fixed and bolt slides back and forward.

      Broomhandle

Nice reproduction, as stated before, trigger, bolt and hammer move, you can flip up the rear sight, but the slider doesn’t work. Visually looks like a broomhandle, grips fit perfectly. Weight is very close to the real thing. Only issue is that when you drop the hammer, it flips the rear sight up.

Exceptional quality for price, no complaints

Very well made and under $100. It has three moving parts, the cocking mechanism, hammer, and trigger. Four technically, if you count the sight. The sight itself moves from a flipped up and down position, but is non adjustable. There is a well where the internal magazine would go. It is pretty heavy, about 4 pounds, which makes it feel pretty nice. The added weight likely comes from the barrel being filled in as well as most of its internals. There is an orange plastic cap in the muzzle. There are no plastic or synthetic parts to it aside from that cap though. The wood handle feels nice and the replica has an oiled finish on top of black paint. Cocking the hammer, racking the slide (not really a slide, but I don’t know the popular technical term most people would refer to it as), and pulling the trigger (which drops the hammer) feels good. Overall, very good replica for the price, which I was surprised of, as the work is really nice and I would expect it to be double for what I paid.

      DENIX WWII 1896 MAUSER BROOMHANDLE

This is a very nice reproduction ready for cosplay or re-enactments. I once owned an original C96 and this has the same feel as the real thing. My recommendation to Denix; since you already offer this model with two different grips, one of them should be a "red 9" offering. Having said that, this is so close to the Mauser that reproduction grips for the original would probably fit. Not a complaint, just an obser
