This M1866 Winchester rifle was a legend of the Old West. Famous for its rugged construction and lever-action mechanism that allowed the rifleman to fire a number of shots before having to reload: hence the term, repeating rifle. Hanging on your wall or over the fireplace, folks will think it's the real thing. This unique replica rifle is offered in an attractive antique gray or brass finish with wooden stock and foregrip. This non-firing version clearly demonstrates the workings of the lever-action loading system. Ideal theatrical prop or re-enactment event gun.

Solid construction, one of my favorite denix guns and I've bought almost the entire catalog.

      Model 1866 Saddle Ring Carbine

This replica is very well made. The action works very well. The rear sight shows great detail. While the receiver is not brass, with care, it can be made to look like the original. Use light, easy strokes, with very fine sandpaper with gun oil. Use care not to remove the brass finish...just smooth it out. This product is well worth the money. I enjoy my carbine immensely.

      Started an Argument

Posted by Bill Shubert on Sep 13th 2021

When a friend dropped by and saw my new replica '66 Yellowboy, he asked if it was loaded. When I said no, it's a replica, he picked it up and looked it over, pulled the lever, and said "bullsh*t it's real!" We argued for a while until he finally realized I was right! While this may not fool a gun expert, it has a very real look and feel to it.
