I love the engraving on this gun and the break action is cool But the only thing wrong with the action is the barrel lock swinging all over but it's an amazing gun!

DENIX WESTERN 1866 DOUBLE BARREL DERRINGER

This is an excellent reproduction suitable for cosplay or re-enactments. It certainly passes the "sniff test" even at a few feet away. As others have commented, ;it does not have an extractor system, however, my .38 special snap caps fit perfectly. I would recommend this to any buyer. I regret not getting a Volcanic reproduction before Denix discontinued the model. Maybe they'll see this and put it back into production.

I love it for the price the only issue is the screw loosens when repeatedly opening the barrel.

Denix western 11866 double barrel derringer replica pistol brass

Beautiful piece works well but the hinge screws are tight probably due to shipping a little tweaking and WD-40 and you should be good. I would recommend this. Way to go Denix!

      It looks amazing in person!

First, a few warnings. Even though this model has the "22-" prefix, it does not seem to work with faux ammo 22-001 or 22-49. Also, the extractor mechanism is completely non-functional, so don't expect a flawless reproduction. Similar to what happened when I purchased 22-1191N, it required a bit of persuasion to get all of the components operating smoothly out of the box. Nevertheless, this thing is a beauty! It opens up like a Derringer and gives you that feeling like you're packing heat in a frontier saloon. When the barrels are locked into place, they do jiggle a little, but not enough to take away from the enjoyment of dry firing. Bottom line: this thing looks beautiful, feels real, and operates rather well. The photo doesn't due this thing credit. Highly recommended. God bless, Miles
