The .44 caliber Model 1860 Colt revolver was one of the most widely used handguns during the Civil War. It was developed before the war and was carried by both Union and Confederate soldiers. Approximately 38% of revolvers purchased by the Federal government during the Civil War were Colt. The standard powder charge for the .44 caliber bullet was 30 grains. All Colts used during the war were six-shot, single action, percussion revolvers. These bullet replicas are made of lead-free materials. Manufactured in the USA by Americana Souvenirs.
