Honestly, this is the best replica gun out there...they just don't get any cooler than this! I weathered the finish with some steel wool and stained the wood stock a little darker, and it just looks great. The only complaint I have is that the top cover is pinned in place. You can drive out the pin, remove the cover and put an ammo belt in it though. MG34 belts aren't hard to find and I made dummy rounds from .308 components, which looks like 8mm but much cheaper.

I can say with great positivity ,.this Denix model is a " Beast " and is identical in all details of an MG-34. This will be a great addition to a Militaria collection. I would encourage those who have an interest in this type of repro model ,,.. not to have any reservations as you will be quite pleased as well as I was ..when the muzzle end was peaking out of the box when I first opened it. As others have stated, this replica is not perfect, but it's very nice for the money. Weather the finish with some steel wool and stain the wood stock a bit darker, and it is hard to tell it's not real. A real MG34 ammo belt fits just fine if you drive out the top cover hinge pin and remove the cover---just put the belt in place, then replace the cover and hinge pin. I used .308 components to make dummy rounds; they look like 8mm but much cheaper. I also put an original MG34 sling on mine. (you have to drill out the lug on the pistol grip a little.) This is really an awesome display piece, that looks even better with a little tweak or two!
Very good quality replica, bolt cocks and trigger functions. Cant open the top cover or fit drums but it can be relatively easily modified to do so. Great finish on the metal and wood, perfect for any reenactment or cosplay that dont allow firing weapons. Folks think its the real deal until they see the orange plug in the flash hider. Well worth the 6 month wait, great customer service from replicaweaponry also. Definitely get on the preorder list if this interests you, especially at a price significantly lower than what other sites have listed. Perfect 10/10.

Best ever replica for the price.At 315.00 you cant go wrong. Only cons are the top cover doesnt open , the rear sight is cast in one piece and isnt adjustable. The front opening on the front sight is to large for the AA spider sight.Other misc moving parts are one piece also.trigger , top cover release etc.But the value in price and quality are excellent for the price.If all those things were engineered into this like a Shoei you would be paying 2000.00 and not 300. I find this Denix MG34 a very nice display piece for my World War II collection. It's very detailed and a stunning display piece for a very reasonable cost. I had a dummy MG34 made up of original pieces with an aluminum receiver which I foolishly sold for three times the cost that I paid for this beautiful replica. A few drawbacks are that the bipod adjusting nut does not turn, the rear sight does not elevate, and the receiver top cover to load the ammunition does not open. I'd say that was the biggest drawback because it's hard to pull an ammunition belt through the receiver for display purposes. But overall I'm very pleased with this replica gun and I have no hesitations in recommending it to anyone needing a credible display piece for their collection for an extremely reasonable cost. Personally, any replica firearm I purchase, I would have no hesitation buying from Replica Weaponry. The best prices, very reasonable shipping cost, and stellar service.
