The M1 Garand, was the first semi-automatic rifle to be generally issued to the infantry of any nation. This legendary and dependable rifle made a name for itself in the hands of U.S. Soldiers and Marines throughout World War II, but especially during the island-hopping campaigns of the Pacific. The Garand is still used by drill teams and military honor guards. It is also widely sought by the civilian population as a hunting rifle, target rifle, and military collectible. I ordered one for my sons birthday because he loves WW2 stuff. The replica is great. He loved it. We coincidently went to a gun show a week later and he got to hold a real one and it was very similar. Considering real M1 Garands are in the thousands and even Airsoft ones are over three hundred this is a great item. Also shipping and communication was great. They even called me to make sure I ordered it which i thought was very nice.
