Piracy is defined as a robbery committed at sea, or sometimes on the shore, by an agent without a commission from a sovereign nation.

The Jolly Roger is a traditional flag of European and American pirates and a symbol for piracy that has been adopted by film-makers and toy manufacturers.

The classic pirate era in the Caribbean extends from around 1560-1760s. Pirates glory days was from the 1640s until the 1680s. Caribbean piracy arose out of and mirrored the conflicts over trade and colonization among the rival European powers of the time, including England, Spain, Dutch United Provinces, and France.

Many pirate clans operated as limited democracies, demanding the right to elect and replace their leaders. The captain of a pirate ship was often a courageous fighter respected by his fellow pirates, rather than an elite member of society.

These handsome collector model guns are made of antique finished zinc cast metal and deluxe resin stocks. The screw heads are molded into the metal and cannot be removed.  They are accurate replicas of historic guns used by pirates of old.
